Marlinks is a joint venture between engineering company Fluves and offshore wind operator Parkwind. Fluves had developed a technique for continuous burial depth measurement during a research project on onshore measurement. Fluves quickly realized that the tool would also be useful in the offshore industry and began finding partners. Parkwind immediately recognized the value of this innovative technique and decided to join forces in a mutual research project to investigate its in offshore power cables. This dramatically improved Parkwind’s ability to assess its cable risk. Following the success, a joint-venture was launched to commercialize the project results. Marlinks was born.
